We are delighted to have a brand new charity partner – The Biggin Hill Memorial Museum – an amazing memorial to the Battle of Britain local community. The museum itself houses a collection of personal items, telling the story of the people who served Biggin Hill and its residents from 1916 to 1951. RAF Biggin Hill played a pivotal role in the Battle of Britain. The museum sits alongside the RAF Chapel of Remembrance, on the site of the original RAF base with 2 ‘Gate Guardian’ planes at the entrance with the original airstrip behind the chapel. It’s a truly remarkable local treasure offering events, tours, talks and the fabulous Nightingale cafe. We are proud to support the charitable trust and its ongoing educational work and conservation of a valuable collection and local interest site.
